About ThanksDoc

What services does ThanksDoc offer?

+

ThanksDoc provides a complete clinical infrastructure that connects doctors, pharmacies, and health clinics under one CQC-approved umbrella.

For doctors, we offer the ability to open and run your own private clinic without the complexity of individual CQC registration, giving you access to governance, indemnity cover, clinical policies, and operational support so you can focus on patient care.

For pharmacies and health clinics, ThanksDoc provides fully vetted, insured GPs to deliver consultations and specialist services on-site.

How does ThanksDoc work?

+

ThanksDoc operates as a shared clinical ecosystem. Pharmacies and clinics join our network to host qualified GPs at their locations. Doctors join to deliver private consultations from these partner sites or online.

The platform matches demand and availability, much like Uber, ensuring patients can access care quickly while doctors enjoy flexibility and independence. We manage all CQC governance, compliance, and indemnity.

Is ThanksDoc regulated?

+

Yes. ThanksDoc operates under a CQC-registered framework, ensuring every doctor and clinical site within our network adheres to national healthcare standards.

Our doctors are UK-registered, fully compliant GMC doctors who undergo a rigorous 22-point compliance check framework prior to working with us as partners.

Prescriptions

Can I get a prescription during my consultation?

+

Yes. If clinically appropriate, our doctors can issue private prescriptions, which can be sent to a pharmacy of your choice or emailed to you to collect from any pharmacy. Alternatively, you can ask the doctor to send the prescription to your home address.

Do prescriptions cost extra?

+

One prescription is included in your consultation for free. Please note, the prescription is the written or typed piece of paper which includes the medication name. You take this to the pharmacy. The pharmacy will give you the medication, which you would need to pay for.

How much does the medication cost?

+

The medication cost varies depending on the type of medication. We can advise you on the average cost during the consultation; however, the price is dependent on the pharmacy.
