We built ThanksDoc to make seeing a GP simple. Online, in your local pharmacy, or at home. UK-registered doctors only. CQC-registered. No subscriptions, no waiting lists.
Why we exist
The average NHS GP appointment in England now takes around two to three weeks. Walk-in centres queue around the block. Existing private GP apps lock you into £25 to £60 monthly subscriptions before you've even seen a doctor.
That's not workable for a parent with a sick child, a working person who can't take a half-day off, or anyone who just needs a sensible conversation about a symptom before it gets worse.
We thought there was a better way. A real doctor, available the same day, via a channel you already use, paid for only when you actually need one.
How ThanksDoc works
Book a UK-registered GP via WhatsApp or online. See them today, in your pharmacy, or at home. Get diagnosed, prescribed if appropriate, and signed off.
Turn your existing consultation room into a private GP service. We bring the doctors, the bookings, and the patients. You earn from each visit and dispense.
UK-registered GPs work flexibly through our platform. We handle CQC governance, EPR, indemnity support, marketing, and patient acquisition. You focus on care.
What makes us different
Three things that set us apart from both the NHS bottleneck and the existing subscription-app market.
01
Pay only when you see a doctor. No monthly fee, no minimum spend, no lock-in.
02
No app to download, no account to set up before you've decided. Message Emily, our booking assistant, and you're in.
03
Every clinician on the platform is GMC-registered, indemnified, DBS-checked, and has passed our 22-point compliance review.
The team
No call centres, no anonymous "doctors on demand". Real GPs you can read about, see, and book by name.

Regulation
ThanksDoc operates under the same regulatory frameworks that govern every private healthcare provider in the UK. We do not cut corners on compliance because patient safety is the entire point of the platform.
Our CQC-registered framework means partners do not need their own registration to host private GP services. We oversee governance, safeguarding, and quality assurance.
Every doctor on the platform is GMC-registered with a current licence to practise, and is searched and verified through our 22-point compliance check.
Registered with the Information Commissioner's Office. Patient records are encrypted in transit and at rest. Dr Linda Odogwu is our designated Data Protection Officer.
What we don't do
We are a primary care service, not a one-stop shop for everything. Here is what we cannot help with, and where to go instead.
If you are experiencing chest pain, severe bleeding, a suspected stroke, breathing difficulties, or any other life-threatening symptom, call 999 or attend A&E. For urgent non-emergency advice, call NHS 111.
Schedule 1 to 5 medications are not available through ThanksDoc. That includes strong opioids, benzodiazepines, Z-drugs, ADHD stimulants, and any other substance covered by the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001.
Our clinicians are licensed for prescriptions and treatments that can be dispensed within the UK only. If you are abroad, we cannot consult with you.
ThanksDoc is private primary care. We can share a consultation summary with your NHS GP with your consent, but we do not issue NHS prescriptions or referrals.
Patients can book in seconds. Partners can reach out anytime. We try to reply within one working day.
